魔術療法經過精心設計，有系統地利用魔術治療的效果，促進病人身心和社交方面的復康。這是可行的治療方法，深受治療學家、專業護理人員、魔術師和病人歡迎。

Healing Magic is a carefully designed, systematic approach to the therapeutic use of magical effects in physical and psycho-social rehabilitation. It is a viable treatment modality that has gained widespread support from therapists, health care professionals, magicians, and patients.

採用魔術療法的治療師，往往驚訝於這種療法引發病人興趣的能力，也看到魔術療法與一般傳統療法不同，能引領病人擺脫痛苦、挫敗、沉悶等障礙。此外，魔術療法提昇病人技能，增強他們的自信心，也令治療師興奮不已。病人都熱切地希望把魔術練好，所以都樂意把魔術反覆練習，很多時會練上幾百次。由於魔術療法特意為改善病人身體、感知和社交功能而設，因此這種療法往往比其他傳統療法更有利於病人的康復進度。

Therapists who have tried this modality are impressed with the way it captivates the interest of their patients and carries them through obstacles such as pain, frustration, and boredom with the more traditional approaches. They are excited about the way it motivates their patients to new skill levels and improves self-image and self-esteem. In their eagerness to master the magic, patients willingly practise a trick over and over again, often hundreds of times. Since all the tricks are designed to improve physical, psychological, perceptual, or social functions, the patient's rehabilitative progress is more quickly achieved than in some traditional methods.

訓練單元

The Training Module

是次課程或訓練單元，令來自不同界別的職業治療師和物理治療師有機會學習掌握魔術的技巧。

This course or training module provides a unique chance for occupational & physiotherapists of different fields to learn and master the art and skills of magic.

經過五個工作坊(每次兩小時)後，參加者將能向他們的病人表演及傳授簡單魔術。整個課程包括五十多個由初級至中級程度的魔術，旨在改善病人的Gross Motor Skills, Fine Motor Skills, 解決困難的能力、集中力、感知能力、Motor Planning、認知能力和心理社會能力等。5 workshops ( 2 hours each workshop) will enable and equip students to perform and teach simple magic tricks to their patients. There are 50 plus tricks which had been specially picked from elementary to intermediate standard to attain improvement in areas such as: Gross Motor Skills, Fine Motor Skills, Problem Solving, Attention, Perception, Motor Planning, Cognitive Skills and Psycho-Social Skills.

為方便參加者，訓練工作坊將在星期一晚上7:00pm至9:00pm分別於兩個地點舉行︰

香港︰根德夫人兒童醫院 (香港大口環李嘉誠物理治療大樓三樓演講室)

九龍：戴麟趾夫人復康院 (九龍觀塘復康徑七號)

For the convenience of students, the training workshops will be conducted in 2 different venues, on Monday evenings between 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm as follows:

Hong Kong :The Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital (Lecture Theatre, 3/F Li Ka Shing Physiotherapy Building, Sandy Bay, Hong Kong)

Kowloon :Margaret Trench Rehabilitation & Medical Centre (7 Rehab Path, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong)

脊髓肌肉萎縮症慈善基金會將支付大部份學費和租場費用，每位參加者則須繳交$380元及出席一定節數。上述費用包括五次工作坊、導師王者匡先生探訪參加者所屬機構視察病人發展進度及一套魔術用品。

Please note that whilst Families of SMA Charitable Trust will heavily subsidise the course fees and rental of venues, it is necessary to charge each student a token attendance and commitment fee of HK$380 per person. The fees will cover a course of 5 workshops, free visits by Mr. Harry Wong to the respective institutions to monitor the patients' progress and a free magic toolbox to start with.

導師 Tutor

課程導師王者匡先生(Harry哥哥)為著名魔術師，也是資深音樂教育工作者和為人熟悉的兒童節目主持人。魔術師及默劇和木偶劇演員陳先生(Jim)則會擔任他的助手。他們會示範所有魔術，引導參加者循序漸進地學習，以確保在技能、表演及心理等方面都達至滿意的效果

The course tutor is Mr. Harry Wong who is a well-known magician as well as an experienced music educationist and a household name in children's entertainment. He will be assisted by Mr. Jim Chan who is a magician as well as a mime artist and puppeteer. They will demonstrate all the tricks and guide the students in a step-step fashion to ensure successful results on technique, psychology and presentation.

道具 Props

課程中大部分道具都是日常生活用品，如橡皮圈、繩子、硬幣、曲別針等。其他道具如魔法棒、絲巾、海綿球和一些花式玩意亦可於工作坊上以低價購得。

脊髓肌肉萎縮症慈善基金會計劃購買一套專業齊備的魔術道具，以供參加者進行大規模表演時免費借用。

Most of the magic tricks taught in this course only require simple daily objects, such as: rubber bands,ropes, coins, paper clips .........etc. Other basic magic props, such as: magic wands, silk scarfs, sponge balls and other gimmicks will also be available at the workshop at low prices.

Families of SMA Charitable Trust plans to have a set of more elaborate and professional magic props for students to borrow (free of charge) when they have to put on a show of a larger scale.

課程證書 Certificates 課程結束後，脊髓肌肉萎縮症慈善基金將頒發證書予出席率為100%的參加者。

At the end of this course, Families of SMA Charitable Trust will issue a Certificate of Achievement to all students who achieve 100% attendance.

參觀 Visits

參加者可與導師Harry和助手Jim預約前往指定醫院或機構探訪。Harry和Jim將協助參加者進行魔術療程，以達至最佳效果。

The course tutor and his assistant (Harry and Jim) will welcome pre-arranged bookings to visit specific hospitals and institutions to work with students of this course (therapists) with their patients for better results.
